The 26th International Conference on Condensed Matter Nuclear Science
An Update and Request from the ISCMNS
To All Researchers in the field of Condensed Matter Nuclear Science:
AN APPEAL FOR HELP.
The ICCF conferences have been successfully operating, as a proud tradition, for many years. The 26th ICCF conference, to be held in May in Morioka Japan, is the latest in a distinguished series stretching back 35 years. ICCF-1 was held in Salt Lake City in March 1990, attracting more than 200 researchers and journalists from all over the world. Two years later, ICCF-3 was the first meeting held in Japan, with an attendance of over 300 people. Unfortunately, recent economic and political turmoil—such as tariffs, cuts in science funding, and falling consumer confidence—have caused a loss of corporate sponsors, as well as a decrease in the number of attendees for the ICCF-26 Conference.
Because of this situation, the members of the ICCF Local Organising Committee and the International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (ISCMNS) are aware that our conference series is now facing some financial issues, due to this geo-political climate—one that is not a conducive to scientific research or bold investment. The withdrawal of research funds and university support payments are making both suppliers and consumers reluctant to part with their cash. Also, the rising cost of air travel and hotels are exacerbating these issues. All of this adds to our concern that both the ICCF conferences series and the IWAHLM conference series may soon see some undesirable declines. This geo-political climate has made it necessary for us to take action.
In order for a series to remain viable, conferences must stay profitable and be able to pass some of that profit onto the next conference in the series. ICCF conferences have been a vital nexus for the entire field—creating new network connections not only between researchers, but also network connection to the worlds of media and finance. These conferences are ‘a gift that keeps on giving’. The loss of our conference series, just as our field begins to gain traction, would be a calamity for the LENR research ecosystem, particularly for the next generation who are just now establishing their footing in the field.
We ask you to please attend the ICCF-26 conference in person, if you can. If you are unable to do this, please consider attending online. Also, if you would like to make a donation for the support of the conference, please use the link below. Every dollar counts and helps to shepherd our conference series through these unsteady economic times. Your donation will be put to the best possible use for the conference. Donors will all get their names added onto the sponsor list for the conference, as well as on a tribute page for the ISCMNS website. Also, as an added bonus and incentive, there will be a raffle for all donators, with some useful and interesting prizes and rewards! Click on the links below to find out more about that.
With grateful thanks for your support of our vital scientific work and scientific conferences.
Sincerely,
Alan Smith, CEO ISCMNS
Lynn Bowen, President ISCMNS
