The society extends our sincerest condolences to the family, friends and former colleagues of Dennis Bushnell, former Chief Scientist of NASA. Bushnell worked for 60 years at NASA, researching areas as diverse as viscous flow modeling and control, turbulent drag reduction, hypersonic flight, and advanced materials. He also championed LENR research within NASA Langley during his tenure as Chief Scientist.
Bushnell was elected to the National Academy of Engineering, was named a fellow of the ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and the Royal Aeronautical Society, and an honorary fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Rest in peace.
