Leadership Update
The Society is pleased to share that on Sunday the 27th of September (London Time), Dr. Fran Tanzella was appointed as the Society’s new CEO.
Director Emeritus and retired co-Program Manager of the LENR Research Program at SRI International. […] After originally earning his PhD in chemistry from University of California (UC) Berkeley, and studying Electrochemistry as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Tanzella worked as a chemist at E. I. DuPont, Inc. Dr. Tanzella helped develop the low energy nuclear reactions (LENR) electrochemical and calorimetry program at SRI, and has been instrumental in the advancement of the field since its inception in 1989. […] Since his retirement in August 2018, [he] has continued to do so as a Principal Scientist at his own Energy Research Center, LLC. In addition, in late September, an expanded Executive Committee of the Society was formally appointed consisting of:

- Dr. Fran Tanzella
- Dr. Tom Grimshaw
- Rob Christian
- Seamus Lonergan
Together, these appointments strengthen the Society’s leadership and governance, and expand our ongoing efforts to build on the successes of prior leadership teams.
Annual Report and Financial Accounts
The Society is pleased to share the publication of its Annual Report and Financial Accounts for the year ended December 31st, 2025. This year, we’ve expanded our disclosures and reporting to help our members and other stakeholders gain increased visibility and insight into the Society, our programs and our other initiatives.
We encourage all those interested to especially review the “Achievements and Performance” section beginning on page 16. This reviews our various activities across the year. Expanded reporting is part of our commitment to our membership, and to continuing to advance a healthy, prosperous society for the long term benefit of the condensed matter nuclear science community.
